Ogden, Utah November 23, 2010

Here we grow again! We are excited to announce that the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah (WRCNU) will be moving into the building that was previously the Ogden Animal Shelter, located at 1490 Park Blvd, Ogden Utah, 84401. As of November 24, 2010 this will be WRCNU’s new home. This is a wonderful location at the mouth of Ogden Canyon in a beautiful setting next to Dinosaur Park.

The mission of The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah is “Through wildlife rehabilitation and education we will empower the community to engage in conservation and responsible stewardship of wildlife and habitat”. Moving to the new location will enable WRCNU to better fulfill this mission.

WRCNU has taken in over 1600 wild animals and has given these animals a second chance at life through its rehabilitation work. Most of these animals are found and brought to WRNCU by the general public. In the new location WRCNU will be able to continue its efforts more effectively than in its previous location at 138 W 12th Street, Ogden Utah. WRCNU is a non-profit organization that operates solely on donations and with the help of volunteers.

WRCNU looks forward to bringing an exciting component to Dinosaur Park’s education programs by offering a wide variety of wildlife and environment based learning activities. In the near future we hope to offer self-guided tours and live animal displays.

We are currently caring for approximately 40 animals that we will be moving to the new facility. Remember it is the season of giving and if you are interested in making a end of year gift please consider a tax deductible donation to WRCNU. Please visit us at our new home or check us out online at www.wrcnu.org for a list of needs, exciting volunteer opportunities and a few inspirational stories of previous and current patients. For more information call 801-814-7888.

Very nice to hear about the baby golden eagle. I encourage you to put up a blog or twitter feed with links to pictures to keep people informed of Phoenix's progress. I'd be more likely to donate if I knew I'd be able to watch the story unfold.
