As of Mid June we already took in over 900 animals with almost 400 animals at the Center on any given day. Sadly, we are on track to bust last year’s record of 1,815 animals. We have many animals coming and going each and every day. We receive 100 - 200 calls a day on our single phone line, so if you have an animal emergency, please be patient and keep trying.
Please DO NOT use our email for emergency information on animals you have in your possession or if they are very obviously injured (broken bones, cat attacks, etc.) as we can not check our email every day and often times hours and minutes will make the difference in the success of getting an animal safely back into the wild.
Many of us responsible for keeping up this site and monitoring the email are putting in 13-16 hour days, 7 days a week and even in the slow season we are still putting in 8 hour days 365 days a year. This is a selfless work of compassion by several key volunteers and backed up by many amazing part time volunteers—we are always looking for more volunteers who are not afraid of hard dirty work and who love seeing the fruits of their labor FLY or SCURRY AWAY into the Utah wilds as their goal.
Please visit us on Facebook @ “Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah” (our Main Page) or @ “WRCNU” (our Group Page) and see what all the fuss is about—THANK YOU for your support, understanding and patience.
